Welcome to PAL's home on the web!

Preservation Alliance of La Crosse (you can call us PAL) exists for the purpose of promoting appreciation for and preservation of historically significant places in the heart of Wisconsin's "Coulee Region" along the banks of the Mississippi River in west central Wisconsin.

Since our founding in 1976, we've grown and we've learned a lot.  Now we've decided to extend our outreach beyond the boundaries of our own little corner of the world; hence, the founding of this web site in February of 2007.  Our goal for the site is to provide ideas, information and resources not only for our local PAL members, but for anyone, near or far, who shares our desire to preserve the rich history that surrounds us all.

Although our home on the web is still young, it isn't small.  It has grown a lot since its birth, and now there are more than 70 pages here!  This web site will always be a work in progress as we keep it updated and as we find more that we want to share with you.

Browse through the PAL pages to see what we've been doing and what we're about.  You'll find preservation-related resources and information on our Links page, and lots of wonderful old photos and postcards of La Crosse in our Photo Galleries... and if you're interested in joining us, click the Membership button!

Two new "Treasures of the Past" ornaments are available now!
